Välkommen till en workshop i koreografi och dramaturgi för cirkus och rörelsebaserad scenkonst, med Mer Dans åt Folket. Under denna utforskande workshop uppmuntras du som deltagare att integrera din egen praktik, en specifik frågeställning eller idé som du undersöker. Vi skapar en miljö där du kan testa dina idéer och praktiker genom olika övningar och erbjuder även praktiska verktyg och tips. Vi arbetar med koreografiska förhållningssätt och dramaturgiska verktyg.
Syftet med workshopen är att undersöka hur koreografi och dramaturgi kan berika ditt konstnärliga arbete samtidigt som vi tillhandahåller konkreta verktyg. Vi strävar efter att balansera vägledning med utrymme för reflektion och undersökande tillsammans med ditt eget konstnärskap.
När: Söndag den 17 november
Tid: 10.30-12.30 och 13.30-15.30
Hitta hit: Lokomotivet, Verkstadsgatan 8, Eskilstuna. Ingång via huvudentrén.
Anmälan: Sker via Google forms sista anmälningsdag är den 2 september. Notera att det är ett begränsat antal platser på max 12 personer. Anmälan är bindande när du fått en bekräftelse på din plats.
Denna workshop är kostnadsfri för Cirkuscentrums medlemmar och Cirkuscentrum stöttar med ett resebidrag till Eskilstuna på upp till 400 kr/person. För frågor kontakta Sara de Vylder på info@manegen.org.
Om oss
Jannine och Amandas konstnärliga samarbete spänner över en bredd av projekt där de växlar roller och fokus i olika konstnärliga processer. De har mångårig erfarenhet av frilansstrukturerna inom dans och medverkar i flera nätverk och konstellationer inom scenkonstfältet. Deras samarbete berikar kulturorganisationen Mer Dans åt Folket med ett mångfacetterat engagemang i dansens konstnärliga möjligheter.
Sedan hösten 2023 har vi vår produktionsplats på Lokomotivet i Eskilstuna, där vi skapar föreställningar, har vårt kontor och vår hemmascen. Med anslag från Statens kulturråd och i nära samverkan med Eskilstuna kommun har vi skapat en plattform för dans och cirkus. Vår vision är att skapa en struktur där fler fria grupper inom dans och cirkus kan etablera sig och verka från denna plats i samarbete med oss.
Jannine Rivel konstnärliga intresse fokuserar på det proprioceptiva sinnet – hur vi känner rörelse och tid inom oss och genom oss i relation till rummet. Jannine drivs av ett aktivt lyssnande och strävar efter att placera koreografi och dans i kontexter där den konstnärliga frågeställningen och utvecklingen kan delas med både en dansvan publik och de som möter dansen som konstform för första gången.
Amanda Billberg rör sig mellan olika roller inom danskonstfältet och kombinerar konstnärligt skapande med dansfrämjande arbete. Hennes konstnärliga intresse kretsar kring att utforska periferier, poesi och situationsbaserad koreografi. Genom sin danskonst undersöker hon föreställningar om normer, femininitet, identitet och tillhörighet, samtidigt som hon skapar utrymme för reflektion och deltagarbaserad konst.

Workshop in Choreography and Dramaturgy for Circus, a collaboration between Cirkuscentrum and Mer Dans åt Folket
The workshop is organized by Cirkuscentrum in collaboration with Mer Dans åt Folket.
Welcome to a workshop in choreography and dramaturgy for circus and movement-based performing arts, hosted by Mer Dans åt Folket. During this exploratory workshop, you as a participant are encouraged to integrate your own practice, a specific question, or an idea that you are investigating. We create an environment where you can test your ideas and practices through various exercises and also offer practical tools and tips. We work with choreographic approaches and dramaturgical tools.
The purpose of the workshop is to explore how choreography and dramaturgy can enrich your artistic work while providing concrete tools. We aim to balance guidance with space for reflection and exploration alongside your own artistry.
When: Sunday, November 17
Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Location: Lokomotivet, Verkstadsgatan 8, Eskilstuna. Entrance via the main entrance.
Registration: Registration is done via Google Forms and must be completed by September 2nd. Please note that the number of spots is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. Your registration will be confirmed once you receive a confirmation of your spot.
This workshop is free for Cirkuscentrum members, and Cirkuscentrum supports travel to Eskilstuna with a reimbursement of up to 400 SEK per person. Contact Sara de Vylder, info@manegen.org, if you have any questions regarding the travel reimbusement.
About us
Jannine and Amanda’s artistic collaboration spans a wide range of projects where they switch roles and focus in various artistic processes. They have many years of experience within the freelance structures of dance and participate in several networks and constellations within the performing arts field. Their collaboration enriches the cultural organization Mer Dans åt Folket with a multifaceted engagement in the artistic possibilities of dance.
Since the autumn of 2023, we have had our production space at Lokomotivet in Eskilstuna, where we create performances, have our office, and our home stage. With funding from the Swedish Arts Council and in close collaboration with the Municipality of Eskilstuna, we have created a platform for dance and circus. Our vision is to create a structure where more independent groups within dance and circus can establish themselves and operate from this location in cooperation with us.
Jannine Rivel’s artistic interest focuses on the proprioceptive sense – how we feel movement and time within and through ourselves in relation to space. Jannine is driven by active listening and strives to place choreography and dance in contexts where the artistic question and development can be shared with both an experienced dance audience and those encountering dance as an art form for the first time.
Amanda Billberg moves between various roles within the dance arts field, combining artistic creation with dance promotion work. Her artistic interest revolves around exploring peripheries, poetry, and situational choreography. Through her dance art, she examines notions of norms, femininity, identity, and belonging, while also creating space for reflection and participant-based art.
